Report 12 [Video/ Action for Goldenrod]

So.. um, I have a question for everyone. How do you catch something that doesn't want to be caught? I mean, this little guy has been following me for several days now and he runs away every time one of my pokemon come near or he sees a pokeball. And um, We really don't want to be put to sleep or paralyzed anymore.

[Mihoshi  points her camera towards a nearby tree and just barely catches a glimpse of an oddish peeking around the trunk before ducking back behind it. All her other pokemon seemed to be either annoyed or bored with the antics. As for the blonde, she's just confused. After all, its been a few days since they arrived at Goldenrod and the little guy is still following her.]

Oh! We finally made it to Goldenrod! I can't wait to do some shopping!

[That's a new one on Harry. He's had Pokemon not leave him alone before, but only when they were attacking. The little blue onion-stalker didn't seem all that hostile.]

Do you want to capture it, or get it to leave you alone?

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
You know, I'm not really sure. He's been following us for a while now so does that mean he wants to be captured?

Re: [video]

[identity profile] used-fireblast.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry has enough trouble figuring out what his OWN Pokemon are thinking, never mind a wild one.]

The fear of Pokeballs says no, but if it's still following you... maybe?

[Doesn't mean he won't bumble through a round of armchair psychologist take a shot at it, though.]

Could try getting it to come closer with food. Like bribing an Ewok with a cookie.

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? What's an Ewok? Is that some sort of pokemon?

[She looks confused for a few moments as she tries to think of what he could mean before a lightbulb turns on. A very dim one, but its there.]

Oh! You mean like with Carrots? Maybe that's what it wants, food! I wonder what it eats. I mean, I think its a plant type and um.. what's it called? Oh I was just reading about this!

...So what do you feed a plant type?

Re: [video]

[identity profile] used-fireblast.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's... not a bad description of the Ewoks, actually.]

Uh- not a bad question, actually.

[Harry Dresden, master Pokemon trainer.]

Berries , I guess?

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)

I guess that makes sense but wouldn't that be like cannibalism? I mean if its a plant type, then um, does it really eat other plants?

Re: [video]

[identity profile] used-fireblast.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry's not sure he's actually seen his grass-type eat at all, now that he thinks of it.]

I wouldn't think so, unless there's some type of berry that grows into a walking blue onion-thing.

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well I wouldn't know anything about that. But, why don't we stay away from berries? Because he kind of looks like one and I would hate to feed him a relative, you know?

So what about something sweet? Oh! Or what about water? I mean, we're always watering the carrots back home so plants must like water right?

I just don't want the little guy to get hurt! I mean the city is a dangerous place for someone all alone!

Re: [video]

[identity profile] used-fireblast.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Most of the Pokemon I've seen have been pretty dangerous too, alone or not.

[Well, his Hoppip doesn't seem too dangerous, but that might just be him. Little guy's pretty laid back.]

Water might not be a bad idea. Maybe, I dunno, sugar water? Honey or something? Hang on-

[Harry rummages in his bag offscreen for a moment, and there's a familiar flash of light from a Pokeball opening. The Hoppip in question appears with Harry.]

Whaddya think Campbell, you guys like sugar-water or something?

...I have no idea what that means.

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-12-03 04:22 am (UTC)(link)

I think that was a yes! I'll try and get some sugar water and see of that works I guess.

So um, thanks! OH! Silly me, Um, I'm Mihoshi, thank you for your help!

Re: [video]

[identity profile] used-fireblast.livejournal.com 2011-12-03 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome, I suppose.

[He's not sure he actually managed to do anything here. Months in Johto and the capturing thing and how it affects a Pokemon's mood still confuses the hell out of him.]

Harry Dresden.

It's very nice to meet you Harry Dresden. I really do appreciate the help and I hope we can be friends!

Perhaps you should return the favor and paralyze it so it cannot get away? Or set a trap for it~

And I am quite glad to hear your voice, Mihoshi-san! I myself am presently in Goldenrod as well. Perhaps we may run into eachother!

Video ☆

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hi~! It's nice to see a familiar face. I do hope we run into eachother, Teddi-chan could use someone to play with.

Oh! And I'm not quite sure how to set a trap that works. I mean it should be easy right? I sort of attempted one in the forest but it didn't turn out at all you know. Actually, Lady got stuck in it and we had a hard time getting her out!

Video ☆

[identity profile] wantsheadpat.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Arah~ Well, as we are in the same city, perhaps I could show you how to set one up~ And our Teddiursa could play together as we do practice!

Re: Video ☆

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay! Lets do that! Oh and I can show you my two new pokemon to! Lady and Blue are just adorable!

Video ☆

[identity profile] wantsheadpat.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
New ones? Really? I shall show you mean as well! I even have an egg now! I'm taking very good care of it so I hope the baby is born soon!

Re: Video ☆

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Cool! Do you know what kind of egg it is? The last two I had were a Gible and a Smoochum egg and that's what Blue and Lady are!

Video ☆

[identity profile] wantsheadpat.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Whatever is a "gible" and "smoochum"..?

Ah~ And mine is a Krabby! I bought it from Feferi-san. She is quite kind.

Re: Video ☆

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Um, let me show you!

[She fumbles with her gear for a moment before aiming it away from her and pointing it to her two youngest pokemon. Her Gible is currently chewing on a rock, very content with just that while her Smoochum had already found the nearest reflective surface and is currently playing with the Butterfly Barette in her hair.]

See? The one with the rock is Blue and the adorable one with the barrette is Lady!

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you can try luring it with food?

Re: video;

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
I guess I could try that, but what do I offer it?

video;

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Usually I'd say berries, but I'm not sure if grass types eat those too.

Re: video;

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know either, so um can you think of anything else I could try? I know it won't eat junk food, we already tried that though Mousy really loves noodles! She ate nearly our entire supply while we were in the forest so really, all we had to eat was candy bars and juice! Oh and cookies.

video;

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
... Maybe you can try the cookies? That at least sounds relatively healthy in comparison. [Not that it would actually attract a grass pokemon, but priorities.]

video

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Thanks! I'll see see if that works!

video

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Wishing you luck then. Sounds to me like they're just really shy though.

Re: video

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-12-03 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
You think so? Well then I'll have to try and make it not shy.

video

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a good plan.

... Do you even have any idea of how to do it?

Re: video

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, um....lots of attention maybe? You know I'm not really sure how to make someone not shy. But I can give it my best and try to figure it out right?

I mean I want to be friends with it and make sure it doesn't get hurt so that should be enought! And with Teddi-chan and Lady's help I should be able to do it!

video

[identity profile] superrising.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It's probably best to just start with getting it close without running away, then you can figure it out from there. I mean, he seems to want something from you, right?

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
It's a game! He wants you to chase him!

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Then he must really like this game because we've been doing it for days!

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Then you need a new game, maybe hide and seek? Or musical chairs!

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Do you think that will work? I mean I wouldn't mind hide and seek it might be really fun!

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It's lots of fun! Unless it's super smart like my big brother. He's the best at hide and seek!

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think it is? Because it always likes to hide and is very good at it. So um, maybe it's already a hide and seek champion?

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow! What will you win if you beat it?

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure but I hope it will be my friend! It looks really cute and um, I would hate for it to get hurt following us around everywhere.

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You're a nice person, I'm sure it will be your friend!

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! And I can tell!

My name's Beckett! What's yours?

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
I'm Mihoshi. It's a pleasure to meet you Beckett!

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Mihoshi Mihoshi! I like your name!

[identity profile] simple-toon.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Your welcome!

[identity profile] tachikawamimi.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hey Mihoshi! Here's a fellow bubbly high-pitched girly-girl for you! <3]

I was going to say lure it out with food, but I was beaten to the punch! They really like sticky and smelly stuff - if you can get peanut-butter, that'll really keep them occupied long enough to catch them!

Re: [video]

[identity profile] bent-causality.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)

Really? Well, I think I have some of that so maybe I should try that next. I would really hate for it to get hurt following us around.
